"A record that sounds like candlelight held up to the dark. Asher writes the way a painter uses shadow."
A voice for the in-between hours.
Lior Asher is a singer, songwriter, and guitarist based out of a flat above a Lisbon café. Over three albums and seven years of touring, they've built a quiet, stubborn audience for songs that sit somewhere between chamber-folk and slowcore.
Half-Light, the new record, was tracked live to tape across a single winter. No click, no quantize, no second takes. Just a room, a few microphones, and nine songs about the things we almost said.
